I kind of like this game. For now the annoying part is 1) not understanding how blocking really works and 2) having to kill AI autospam fleets.
But after a few games the turns and even combats become dull. I wish there were more special events and planets that would spice up the discovery phase, keep the story interesting and make multilayer more strategic:
Proposals:
- One Huge Gaia planet near center of galaxy protected by pirates/monsters (masters of orion anyone) yeah sounds cliche, but I really like the rush the middle king of the hill scenario to force players to grab mid. Get special hero or awesome stats whatever. (not terraformable)
- Unique artfacts on planets (evenly distributed in mid) research that allows to dig for artifacts, special weapons that for example deal missle, laser and kinetics damage, barrier that protects from all. When a player discovers an artifact a message is sent to all players to inform them of the find (and location)
-Quests do this or do that and a special hero joins your cause, or you gain ressources
- Wonders! how can you not have galactic wonders! time consuming buildings to build that provide strategic advantages, chance of destruction upon planet invasion (50%)
- Pirates and space monster bases and hives in mid. I think mid galaxy should have bigger planets and better chances of ressources and terra environment, but that they should not be able to be rushed, and have some level of defence. high risk high reward.
- Mercs.
-starbases... there are no starbases?????? 3 words.... OMG!
