    I did reinstalled the game, I still have the same problem. Although other games still work. Will you look into this?

    _Panta_ is right that there hasn't been any productive activity on this thread in a couple of weeks. Could someone from Amplitude respond to the questions of whether the various MacOS problems described here have been reproduced, and whether there is any further troubleshooting information that users could provide?

    It would be nice to not have to go through getting a refund for the game, but it's hard to justify continuing to hold onto it when it's not clear that Amplitude is even working on the problems.

    Hi,

    I'd like to know if there are players on mac os X happens to run this game ?

    If yes, what is the most reliable version ?

    I ordered Snow Leopard to update my version 10.5.8 (Leopard) to 10.6.2. (After 10.6.8 update internal). Will I pass it over this version ie version Lion (10.7.6).

    A player very very frustrated at not being able to play a game paid.
    4X a promising MAC and French. Very disappointed. really!

    I'm listening to manipulations to help Amplitude within my means.

    I have no issues with running ES on MBP late 2011 with Mac OS 10.8.2 installed.

    I found the reason for the problem. Apparently, it was all because of the firewall did set on default to cut the connect to localhost for ES. So, if you have the similar problem - check your firewall settings. I could finally play and I should say - I do like the game a lot

    I still have yet to be able to play the game on OS X. Checking the Unity Player Log file, it still is unable to create the OpenGL context. Every other Unity-based game—including the Unity IDE—works perfectly fine on my system, but Endless Space refuses to run.

    Hi Macbook retina brand new here,
    I just bought the game and had to use the tweak within console to make it rune once.
    but it crashes quite often, specially when I try to switch from fullscreen to windowed.

    Hi, I am also getting this.

    I just downloaded from steam today, so it's the latest version. I was running OSX 10.7 but I saw that 10.8 was apparently working, so I upgraded but it still doesn't work.

    The icon bounces in the dock a few times, a black screen flashes for a moment and then it crashes.

    Here is my player.log below.

    It appears to be the OpenGL Context issue.

    I tried all the suggestions in this thread to no avail.

    ok, I just found out that if I unplug my other monitors the game will start. I tested it a few times and sure enough:

    - one monitor = starts fine
    - 2+ monitors = crashes

    I tried to fix for running it in windowed mode instead of full screen but that didn't help.

    So the problem for some people at least (I know at least two other people mentioned multiple monitors) appears to be that the game tries to boot into full screen no matter what and then changes to the set resolution. Is it possible to get it to read the xml file before it sets it's resolution? or get it to start in windowed mode initially and then go FS instead of the other way around?

    Update: Hmm. I can then plug the monitors back in and the game can start up fine once it has happened once. (note I haven't played yet, just started it)

    I just read Danayel's last post about multiple monitors. Removing all external monitors solved the problem for me as well.

    I've been having trouble as well. Fully updated to the newest version on steam. The app launches, my screen switches resolutions, and I get a black and white screen. I am unable to force quit using any method at this point, forcing me to do a hard reset every time. player.log is attached.

    I'm on OS X 10.8.2 with all the available updates installed.

    I have 8 GB of RAM installed, instead of the standard 4.

    EDIT: I have gfxCardStatus v2.3 which allows me to force the MacBook to remain on the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics processor. When I enable this setting and start the game, it works perfectly. Because of this, I believe it's something to do with the Geforce GT 650M. I can play the game now, but it would obviously look so much better using the discrete card.

    having the same problem running 10.8.2 on a macbook pro dont seem to have a player.log file, ES never actually started up freezes on start up screen goes white with black rectangle
